This is such an easy but tasty recipe. As much as I love to spend time in the kitchen, I have to admit that I am not always able to.
So I just chuck all this in a crockpot before I dashed out the door in the morning. And when I come home at the end of the day – voila! All I need to do is cook the veg.
4-6 pieces chicken drums (You can use thighs )
1/2 cup tomato paste
1/2 cup Coconut Aminos or Tamari Sauce
1/3 cup honey
2 Cloves of garlic (crushed)
Salt & pepper to season
1.) Mix together in a bowl the tomato sauce, honey, and garlic. Season with some salt & pepper.
2.) Place the chicken in the slow cooker
3.) Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken
4.) Set slow cooker to low and leave for about 6 hours
5.) Serve with roasted vegetables, and freshly steamed greens (broccoli, beans)
Dinner is served!
This dish is packed with the nutritional benefit such as carbohydrates, potassium, and protein. This could also be served over cauliflower, barley or quinoa.
